Payroll Officer

Based in Thessaloniki | Position Code: PAY - 0621



About the company and the position


Our client is a Greek manufacturing company headquartered in the wider area of Thessaloniki, being a market leader in Greece and among top industrial manufacturers in its field. The position is part of the HR Department.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the correct and in-time calculation of the payroll and employees’ benefits (e.g. shifts, raises, bonuses, new hires, terminations, etc.)

  • Handles all work issues (recruitment, contracts, leaves)

  • Data submission to public organizations (Tax withholding- AADE, ΑΠΔ – EFKA etc)

  • Makes all the necessary communications with insurance funds and public services

  • Prepares the entries in the Accounting Article

  • Administer the operation of the employees’ time attendance

  • Ensures compliance with labor law and regulations

  • Handles employees’ payroll related questions and claims (e.g loans, in advance payments)

  • Processes employee payroll and salary changes

  • Ensures employees´ sick and vacation leaves are accurate

  • Calculates and processes termination payments

  • Maintains employees’ records in digital and paper form

  • Prepares monthly HR payroll and benefits related report

  • Supports developing and implementing the Compensation &Benefits strategy



Qualifications & Competencies


  • BSc in Economics, Accounting or any related field

  • Deep knowledge of labor law and regulations

  • Knowledge of EpsilonNet payroll

  • Fluent in English

  • Excellent command of MS Office

  • People-oriented and results-driven
